What a summer it has been so far, wow! To be able to get outdoors with the family and spend time on the boat, go hiking and explore the amazing greenery we have around us, check out new attractions like the new EAGLE COASTER at Cypress Mountain (you have to go; it is so fun) and enjoy indoor/outdoor dining again has been amazing.

There is so much to do here in Vancouver and on the North Shore, so much in fact that you can have a summer vacation experience here in the city!
In this month’s blog, we are going to highlight some of the BEST family-friendly experiences around the city so you can create your summer itinerary!
CYPRESS MOUNTAIN IS THE PLACE TO BE!
All Summer Long

We mentioned the Eagle Coaster earlier, a 1.7 kilometer track that has a vertical drop of 279 meters and gives you some of the best views along the way, and it has turned into a must-do this summer! After you have tried the gravity-fed roller coaster (which goes up to 40/km an hour, by the way), you can sit back and talk about everyone’s crazy ride at the Crazy Raven restaurant, which is open until 6pm.
PLAYLAND
On until September 11

Playland is now open!! There is nothing more fun than enjoying time with the family at the PNE with games, attractions, good mood food, and family fun every which way you turn. There will be significantly reduced capacity, which is great because that means NO LONG LINES! Be sure to purchase tickets in advance and check out the new feature exhibit, Adventures in Happyland!
CELEBRATION OF LIGHT
July 25, July 29 and August 1

You think you have seen fireworks? Just wait until you see what the celebration of light is planning; wow! Set to light up the sky over English Bay for 3 nights, the festivities (SHOREFEST) will be held at Sunset Beach, where bands will start playing in the early afternoon and get you excited for the main event later in the evening.
ABBOTSFORD INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW
August 6 – 8

One of the most spectacular air shows we have seen, this years’ event will be like a drive-in movie except WAY bigger and more awesome. Featuring the CF Snowbirds, US Air Force F-22 Raptor, RCAF CF-18 Hornet and much more, it is a show that you will not want to miss! Make sure you buy your tickets in advance!!
AMBLESIDE ARTISAN FARMERS’ MARKET
Every Sunday from 10am to 3pm

We have always enjoyed the Ambleside Farmers’ Market, especially this year more than ever, as it is a way to help support your local farmers and businesses! Now located near the foot of 13th Street in West Vancouver, there will be a great selection of prepared foods, entertainment, and vendors! Visit their website for more information.
There you have it, some of the awesome things that are happening around Metro Vancouver that you can enjoy with the family, and with restrictions easing a bit more, it seems there will be lots more to choose from soon!
When you are out and about at these events, make sure you use the hashtag #LOVEVANCOUVER on your social media post, as it is this summer’s Vancouver tag to show your adventures!
Thank you for taking the time to read this month’s blog. We are keeping very busy with real estate right now as the market is still BOOMING for both Buyers and Sellers, which has been great to see as we are on the path to economic recovery. If you or someone you know is looking to Buy or Sell, we would love to get your referral, and for doing so, we will reward you!
